Converting an engine with a keyway shaft into a water pump using one of our conversion kits.

Before You Begin

Before performing any maintenance, shut off the engine. If the engine needs to be run for any reason, make sure it’s located in a well ventilated area to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Do not run a water pump without water in it.

1) Carefully mount the large backing plate to the  4 bolt holes (65mm x 65mm) in your engine.  Use the long bolts (These are the 4 longer bolts that have washers on them)

2) Now fit the impellor taking particular care with the ceramic seal

3) Make sure the large O-Ring is in place around the large pump housing.  The big iron snail will sit snuggly in the water pump housing so place it in there (there is a nook it locks into) while you fit the housing over the impellor.

4) Check it is nicely on and the O-Ring isn't pinching.  Once you are happy with it screw in the last 4 bolts.
